Ken Griffin was the one to procure this painting way back in 2015 from another business tycoon called David Geffen who is also known for having a number of business ventures including being a filmmaker and a studio owner. It was sold by this man at the cost of around 500 USD. It was Willem de Kooning, who painted this artwork way back in 1955 and hence it is called as the Willem de Kooning. As per reports, the cost of the painting at that time was 300 USD, and Mr. Griffin was the one who procured in a public event, who happens to be the trustees of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Nafea Faa Ipoipo By Paul Gauguin
It was in 1891 when Paul Gauguin visited Tahiti for the first time and since then it was his first love for the cool locations in this country and the women at this place. This place has been an inspiration for many painters and Paul Gauguin was one of them to paint some marvelous paintings here. He then painted Nafea Faa Ipoipo, which means who will marry me. In this painting, he portrayed two women sitting over the green field having the best landscape, which was sold at 300 USD in a private sale in the US. Though who purchased is yet to be identified but many feel it was one of the prince from Qatar Royal family who procured this painting.
